Eye Wear Can Do For You!

lenses

high index lenses

Thinner, lighter lenses, recommended if you have a strong eyeglass prescription for nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism.  With our High Index Lens you can go from an extremely bulky lens to a slim natural looking lens that will fit in any frame.

progressive lenses

For multi-prescription vision.  These lenses provide a more natural correction of presbyopia.  The lens is for distance in the top portion and then “progresses” into a reading lens in the bottom.  The middle of the lens becomes an intermediate section to help your eyes adjust at different distances.

transition lenses

These lenses are fully clear indoors but when outside they turn dark almost like sunglasses.  This means you get indoor and outdoor prescription glasses, all in one pair!  They react to UV light, adjusting to all light conditions as well as reflected light coming off surrounding surfaces.

blue
lenses

Help to filter out harmful blue light rays that come from the sun as well as many of the devices we use today.  Increased technology usage means more exposure to blue light regularly, which can cause retinal damage and contribute to age-related muscular degeneration, leading to loss of vision.

Ultra Violet
COATING

Having Ultra Violet coating on your lenses protects your eyes from constant exposure to ultraviolet light coming from the sun much like sunscreen protects your skin.  UV rays from the sun contribute to cateracts as well as eye-surface problems like pterygium and pinguecula, and macular degeneration.  UV coating on your lenses will protect your eyes from the constant UV exposure that you experience every day.

ANTI-REFLECTIVE
COATING

Also called AR coating is a thin, multilayered coating that eliminates reflections or glare on the front and back surfaces of your lenses. This provides better vision when driving at night, and more comfortable vision when reading or in front of computer or TV screen.   It is highly recommended for polycarbonate and high-index lenses, which reflect more light than regular glass or plastic lenses.  The best thing about AR coating is that it makes your glasses almost invisible to others, so people focus on you, rather than the reflections that appear in your lenses.

Scratch Resistant
coating

These are lenses that are treated front and back with a clear, scratch-resistant coating.  This gives them a much harder surface that withstands drops, bumps, and cleanings with more abrasive clothes, instead of the suggested microfiber ones.  They are highly recommended for Children.  Sometimes these lenses are optional, so be sure to ask for a scratch resistant coating when buying your new glasses!
